As a kid, I enjoyed solving puzzles and playing strategy games. Both activities involve creative problem solving. Little did I know those activities would help point me to a career as a strategic communicator. 

A successful communication program depends on finding creative solutions to issues, both known and unknown. Planning for future exigencies is not always easy, but worth it. While I love the thrill of managing a crisis to a positive outcome, staying ahead of issues before they become crises is my forte.

My career has taken me from the private sector to government and politics, then to the nonprofit space, then back to the private sector. In each role, I delivered decisive results and increased positive awareness for my organizations. My breadth of experience across multiple sectors gives me a broader and more flexible perspective to help organizations navigate complex issues. 

I’m an advocate for the public relations industry. I served as national chair for the Financial Communications Section of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and was a member of the executive committee for nearly a decade. I’m also a member of the PRSA’s Investment Committee. On the regional level, I serve as a board member and social media manager for the Delaware Chapter of PRSA, as well as secretary for the PRSA Mid-Atlantic District. I also have mentored college students and young professionals throughout my career.
