Kent Wissinger is a senior-level strategic communicator with deep experience in corporate communications, crisis management, media relations, public affairs, online communications, and more. He’s managed many successful communication initiatives over two decades in the private sector, not-for-profit space, and federal and state government.
Kent has worked with top journalists and editors at all the major broadcast networks and national news outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s,
New York Times, Bloomberg, Reuters, Associated Press, and many others.
Kent most recently served as Corporate Communications Manager at Wilmington Trust, the wealth and investment management arm of M&T Bank. Previously, Kent managed corporate communications for M&T Bank’s Pennsylvania market.
Before that he was Director of Marketing and PR for the Harrisburg Symphony. He also worked as Press Secretary for a senior member of Congress, and was Press Secretary at the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. Earlier in his career, Kent managed marketing communications for a large printing company and a commercial photography studio.
He is a dedicated advocate within the public relations industry. Kent currently serves as a director and past chair for the Financial Communications Section of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and is a member of PRSA’s Investment Committee. He also serves as a director with the Delaware Chapter of PRSA.
Kent works to give back to the community having served as President of a downtown improvement district, Marketing Chair for a classical music organization, mentor to public relations students, and is involved in other volunteer causes.
